We work with writers of children’s stories who want to self-publish a professional book. Our services are especially suited to first-time and indie authors who want guidance through the whole process.

What is included in your children’s book package?

Our packages can include illustration, editing, cover design, formatting, KDP publishing support, and other creative services. The ultimate package also includes an audiobook, animated trailer, social media adverts, and dedicated project management.

Can you help me publish through KDP?

Yes. We provide KDP publishing support as part of our children’s book publishing services, helping you prepare your book for self-publication.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Reserve your studio time with a £495 deposit, followed by three instalments linked to agreed project milestones. These payments are milestone-based, rather than necessarily monthly. Children’s book projects take at least around three months and often longer, so the payment schedule follows your creative journey.

How can your team support me during my project?

Our services are designed to give you support from the creative stage through to publication. You will have a dedicated project manager to help keep everything on track.

Are you a traditional publisher?

No. BWU provides creative services to help you self-publish your children’s book. Our team supports you with editing, illustration, design and formatting, while you keep creative control and 100% of your royalties.

Do I keep my royalties?

Yes. You retain 100% of your royalties and creative control. BWU provides the agreed creative services to prepare your book for self-publication.

Do I need a finished manuscript?

No. You can contact us with an idea, a half-written story or a finished manuscript. If your story is still developing, our team can discuss the most suitable next step. Developmental editing is an optional paid add-on, rather than part of standard editing.
